Regarded as the world's most important trade fair for the technology of brewing, beverage and liquid food held from 16-20 September 2013 in Munich. The importance of Drinktec 2013 is well reflected by numbers: 1,445 exhibitors from 77 countries, nearly 67,000 visitors (an increase of 14% compared to the previous edition in 2009.) from 183 countries with a 62% share of foreign guests. There was a particularly noticeable increase in visitors from Asia (45% increase in visitors from China, to more than 1,400 visitors) and the United States.
Such advantageous results from this year's fair also show that the beverage sector has good prospects, as indicated by estimates compiled by the VDMA-Association of Machinery Manufacturers for the Food Industry and packaging machines, a supporting partner of Drinktec. This prestigious Munich fair is great for observing the trends developing in the industry and for exchanging views and perceptions with other visitors and exhibitors on the future of the industry.
